Call for SBCMS Board & Delegation Nominations February 2, 2026 General 0 BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF – SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE IN CALIFORNIA! WE NEED YOUR VOICE AND EXPERTISE IN OUR LEADERSHIP! The SBCMS Nominations Committee meeting will be taking place in early to mid March, and we are asking for NOMINATION(S) for SBCMS BOARD MEMBER and CMA DISTRICT II DELEGATION candidates!! We will have several delegation seats available!! Limited board seats are available. Being a part of the District II Delegation (SBCMS ; + RCMA) is an outstanding way to represent your voice in organized medicine, be a part of the solution, and help develop policies for the California Medical Association and the state of California through the House of Delegates. Candidates must be 2026 SBCMS/CMA members in good standing (MD or DO). Terms begin July 1, 2026 and are for a duration of one or two years, depending on the seat. Board meetings are held six times a year, every other month with a couple of exceptions, on Mondays at 6:15pm to 7:45pm (4 virtual meetings; 2 in person meetings in July and December); District II delegation meetings are held virtually two times a year, plus one in person meeting in September prior to House of Delegates, plus in person attendance at the annual CMA House of Delegates meeting each October (location alternates between Sacramento and Los Angeles-this year it’s on Sacramento on October 17-18. District II 2026 Meeting Schedule • Wednesday, April 22 @ 6pm (Mid-Year Resolution Process) – Virtual • Wednesday, August 12 @ 6pm (House of Delegates Resolution Process) – Virtual • Wednesday, September 30 @ 6pm (Pre-HOD Meeting) – In-Person, RCMA Board Room (3993 Jurupa Ave., Riverside) • Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18 (House of Delegates) – In-Person, SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, Sacramento Board and Delegation members are also asked to help support SBCMS events throughout the year (High Desert Meeting, Installation, Leg Day and others as possible) through voluntary attendance. As a member of the District II delegation, it is asked that you commit to a minimal contribution to CALPAC - $300 or more per year, or $25 payable monthly.
